High schools and high school sports across Washington are closed for the school year, but the Scorebook Live Today podcast has ramped things up.
Each weekday, analyst Dan Dickau is interviewing a new expert in their respective field. Dickau hopes to both entertain and provide students, coaches, parents perspective to understand how uniquely sports can prepare one for a wide array of things.
On Monday, Milwaukee Bucks assistant coach Chad Forcier joins. Forcier is a longtime coach who got his start interning for the Seattle Supersonics in the early 1990s while also serving as an assistant coach at Lake Washington High School. Forcier, a Rainier High School graduate, saw his career take off in the college ranks until he made the jump to the NBA in 2001. He’s been an assistant coach in the league since, and chronicles how he made the jump.
