TOP TEAM

Lynden has reached the state playoffs 12 times in the past 13 seasons. winning 2A titles in 2009 and 2017. The balanced Lions are the favorites to add to that haul.

PLAYER TO WATCH

A pure playmaker with a relentless work rate, guard Keylie Hershey was an all-state performer after leading the Lions to a fourth-place showing at the state tournament.

KEEP AN EYE OUT FOR

Katie King was the league player of the year in volleyball in the fall — and now returns as the frontcourt stalwart that Burlington-Edison coach Brett McLeod leans on at both ends.
